Alaco is seeking experienced researchers and investigators to join our team. The role will report into the Co-heads of Transactions Advisory and the Director of Operations, and will work directly alongside our team of junior research analysts.

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits, including a discretionary year-end bonus, pension scheme, support for continuing education, and 25 days holiday.  The role is based in Alaco’s London office, and the company has a hybrid working policy. 

Duties/Responsibilities
• Create and execute research plans to fulfil client briefs, using a wide range of public records and human source information from jurisdictions globally.
• Prepare comprehensive and nuanced written reports on findings, and present these orally to clients as required.
• Supervise the work of junior research analysts on individual assignments.
• Liaise with human sources.
• Draft project proposals.
• Assist in business development efforts, e.g. by attending events and conferences, creating media and social media content.

Skills and experience
• 4-6 years’ experience in business intelligence or a related field such as journalism, government or law.
• Track record of creative and analytical approach to research.  Experience working with information from human sources preferred.
• Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and oral.  Ability to explain complex events and concepts in clear and concise terms.
• Second language skills are advantageous. We are currently prioritising candidates with Arabic and Russian language skills, although we welcome applications from candidates with other second languages or none.
