10.01.2017 | Senior Analyst, Spanish-speaking

Alaco is seeking applications for the role of Senior Analyst from Spanish speakers with a track record of at least two years as an analyst at a business intelligence firm or a closely-related field. Demonstrable experience of researching and writing reports to a high professional level is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage with all aspects of investigative work across the globe as a senior member of our existing analyst team.  In addition to conducting research and presenting written reports of findings under the supervision of case managers, responsibilities will include mentoring and coaching more junior staff and providing support on issues such as budgeting and business development; setting case strategy; developing and liaising with sources; overseeing research and controlling the quality of reports.  Although usually working as part of a team, Alaco’s analysts are often relied upon to drive research forward with minimal guidance, demonstrating the ability to solve problems and identify relevant lines of enquiry for themselves: this is particularly true of senior analysts.

The role is varied and interesting.  International politics and commerce are at the heart of what we do and applicants should be able to demonstrate a significant appreciation of both.  In addition to speaking and writing English to a native standard, a fluent command of Spanish is crucial, and additional proficiency in either Italian or Portuguese would be a significant advantage.

Recruitment is ongoing.  Applicants must be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.

CVs should be forwarded to careers@alaco.com.
